Honeymoon Ideas

Sarah, on September 12, 2019 at 12:40 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 9
Hello everyone,
I am getting married in exactly one year from today. I have been looking at honeymoon ideas; however, I can not find any that truly interests me. My fiancé is a red head with pale skin and burns within 20-30 minutes of being outside. The beach/cruise is pretty much a now go and September is known hurricane season. I am looking for something adult only and inclusive within a reasonable price. We both enjoy the outdoors and exploring and have already been to Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Mt. Rushmore. Thank you for your help.

Are you looking to stay in the U.S.? If so, you might consider Grand Canyon, or Yosemite. Both are great places for exploring, and the natural beauty is AMAZING!! This country has some really awesome national parks, each with its own unique features.

Then there are places that have a lot of cultural appeal, big cities like New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington D.C., etc.. Tons of museums, art galleries, restaurants, and other fun places to visit.

If you don't want a beach type you could try Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Sweden, japan, norwegian cruises, or Germany. For closer destinations you could do Canada, they have amazing views, outdoors type of excursions, etc. New York and the French quarter in Louisiana are highly rated.

There is this tiny town in Texas called Fredericksburg that is like stepping in to little Germany. It's amazing!

I am open to just about anything as long as it is reasonably priced. I know that sounds hard and I’m not sure what my price limit is yet, but we are helping to pay for the wedding and recently bought land to build our dream home. Plus I will be a recent college grad and will be owing on my student loans within two months of coming home. Thank you for your ideas I was thinking out west somewhere but there are so many options. Also my fiancé is not a city person and neither am I. We both grew up in smaller towns and cities give us anxiety.

My fiance also does not like to be outside much. We are not set, but leaning towards Napa Valley. I went last year with my sister and fell in love. It can get a little pricey, but you can stay at a resort with indoor activities like a spa, wine tasting and restaurants, and get out to the little towns and shops when you feel like it.

Ok, I get that. FH and I are paying for our wedding 100%, plus I have student loan debt, and we still have regular bills to pay!

So, I'll tell you a place out west that is beautiful, but is in no way a big city is Napa, California. Wine country. There are a bunch of little farm towns, nestled in the hills, and it's really beautiful. There are wonderful restaurants (the food is amazing up there!!), and lots of outdoor activities, and wine tasting. Other spots are the Monterey, CA area, or the Santa Cruz, CA area. Beautiful beaches, quaint little towns. One of my favorite things to do in Monterey is driving or walking around the neighborhoods, just to look at the architecture. No two houses look alike, which makes it very interesting. Also, there are often wild deer roaming around, just looking for stuff to eat. Very peaceful.

I hope you figure out a place that is right for you, that fits into your budget. I'm from CA, so I have been to all of these places, and can't say enough good things about them. But do your research, because there are just as many pricey hotels as there are budget ones, so you have to plan a trip that works for your budget. But for great weather, beautiful scenery and fun activities, California does not disappoint!
