Honeymoon Greece

Greece is amazing!! I stayed in Athens mostly but would certainly recommend the city. Also, the islands of Mykonos, and Hydra (my favorite) are gorgeous. There is so much to do and see all through the country!

I lived in Greece. What do you want to know? Lol

We used a travel agent located in Greece to book our honeymoon. Our travel agents name was Litsa and she is very easy to work with. Communication was done through email because of the time difference. We liked having someone local booking everything for us.

About how much is a honeymoon in Greece?

Santorini. It is so romantic there, PERFECT for a honeymoon!

This is where I'd go, personally...I prefer northern Greece over southern Greece, but the Islands are nice too.

Following this conversation! We just started looking at Greece and we actually found some really nice looking (with good reviews) on Air BnB for the islands. My travel agent said that she would recommend not doing that and going with resorts there (of course, she also mentioned that if we went the Air BnB route she won't help us....so pushing the resort makes sense then huh?). Any thoughts? I feel like I could save a ton of money renting a place then using a resort. Do you think it is safe? (this is for Katelina1 who has lived there!). Thanks!

We are also wanting to go to Greece in October for our honeymoon. Anyone have any comments about the weather in October? I am hoping it will be hot enough still to enjoy the beaches. Anyone have recommendations on best islands? It seems the way to go is to book through a travel agent.
