Honeymoon Fund

Megan, on December 14, 2020 at 11:01 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 7

Hi Ladies!

My fiance and I have been together for 9 years. We FINALLY get married just before our 10 year anniversary( next year) and have lived together since the very beginning so we do not "need" any normal wedding gifts. Instead, we were thinking of doing the road trip we planned on before covid. ( Florida to IL to see Reba McEntire). I want to set up a page where family and friends can donate towards that rather than gifts. If you did this too, which website did you go through? Gofund me is so boring. I plan on doing my invited from RSVPify but the site they connect to for funding like this doesn't seem to work because I'm not a business... Any thoughts/ suggestions???

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

My FBIL and his wife used Zola. Our registry is through Zola as well, and we're planning on using them as well if we have a cash fund added to our registry.

There are a million discussions on WW on honeymoon funds, try searching and you will find a bunch of replies with tons of perspectives, probably more combined than you will get on a single thread.

Be aware though that honeyfunds are controversial on WW, some people dislike them on principal.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Honeyfund would be great.

We’re using Traveler’s Joy, it was very easy to set up but they do take a fee as well

    So true, Tiger Bride!

We used Honeyfund. Easy, convenient for guests, the tiny fee is way worth it.

We used the Knot, because we liked their fee structure, and how you could transfer any time you wanted.

Also, you can "name" the gifts: "Romantic dinner", "train tickets", "breakfast in bed".... whatever.
