You guys! It just got even more real! FH and I just booked our honeymoon flights! Ireland, Scotland, and England over the course of 11 days next year. We signed up for a rewards credit card for wedding related purchases, so with the miles we’ve accumulated thus far, we only spent $300 out of pocket. I know we’ve still got a while, but since July is a popular travel month, I didn’t want to be scrambling or finding flights drastically increased in price. Now to figure out the itinerary for while we’re there! Anyone else book a honeymoon this weekend?

Spain and Greece. Not until April of 2021, though. We may do a small trip for a weekend after the wedding in September, but we intend to do the honeymoon when it's best for Greece weather and it'll be right by our birthday.

It was originally just going to be Ireland for us (since there’s so much to do!), but FH’s mom just got back from a Scotland trip and FH requested a quick stop in London for at least a day, so we figured we’d just include it all. Definitely not enough time for an in depth experience of all the countries, but it will at least let us have a nice overview of each.

That’ll be so great! Greece is on my list for sure! And I am all about putting off trips until it makes most weather sense. We’ll actually be waiting about a week after the wedding to go on ours, but July works well weather and work wise (teacher, here).

My FH and I decided on a Sandels Resort in Jamaica!! He originally wanted to go to Disney World but I felt like we would be out doing stuff all day everyday which is fine but for my HM I wanted to be able to chill and relax!! If I don't want to leave my room that day, I don't want to feel like I'm missing out on something, ya know. So we decided to do Sandels for the HM and save Disney for our 1 year anniversary.

His parents are actually paying for our HM as our wedding gift, which was a huge relief!! We are paying for the entire wedding ourselves so I was worried we wouldn't be able to afford a HM too, so that was just music to our ears!! Also, with them giving us our HM they will be doing all the booking so we don't have to worry about anything but making sure we have passports and suitcases!! Another huge relief!! With planning everything myself, booking rooms and flights was something I wasn't excited about adding to my already huge to do list!! Lol!!

Congratulations to you and your FH!! Your HM sounds amazing!! I'm sure y'all will have the time of your lives and a trip y'all will remember forever!!

Oh, nice! No need for time off of work. We are thinking about getting a photographer for a few hours in Greece if the extra money is there.

We went to the Cliffs of Moher, Giants Causeway, Titanic Museum, Bunratty Castle, Kilkenny, Glendalough, Cork, Rock of Cashel, Blarney Castle, Dublin, and several other castles I can't remember haha.

That will definitely be a relaxing trip! And how generous of your parents to cover it for you!

I’m pretty opposite, in that I get really antsy when I don’t have an itinerary. Most of our trip will involve moving to a different town every night, though we’ll spend two nights in Loch Ness and London toward the end of our trip. (I’ll probably be ready for another trip to recover from this one after we return!) I love the planning aspect especially since I’ve had the wedding fully planned for about 6 months (long engagement and very type A when it comes to events). My sister, on the other hand, has your exact personality! She’s more than happy to have someone else cover the details and she’ll just show up! (The dynamic works well for us, haha).

I bet you guys will have an amazing, rejuvenating HM. Congratulations!

Ahh! I love that! I ran the idea by my FH, but he’s not really into pictures, so he’s content with engagements and wedding photos. If you can squeeze it, those will turn out amazing!

Sounds amazing! We’ll only be in Ireland for 5 days, so we won’t be able to get everything in, but so far we have the Jameson tour in Dublin, Blarney Castle, Cliffs of Moher, Galway, Tullamore Dew tour (FH loves his whiskey), and a night back in Dublin before we head to Glasgow. Did you guys rent a car?

We are going to Florida for Disneyworld and Universal studios! We are stoked. Really wanted Ireland but it was just going to be too much money DX so we hope to do it for our 1 or 5 year anniversary

We also did the Guinness tour in Dublin. It was too crowded and overrated for me. But Husband enjoyed it. We didn't rent a car. We just took day trips from Dublin on buses/trains.

Yeah, mine will just be for my FH. I don’t drink, but his favorite thing ever is Jameson whiskey. I’m sure we’ll be spending all of our spending money on bringing home some special bottles of whiskey! Haha.
