Honeymoon fell through

Elizabeth, on April 15, 2021 at 8:27 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 6
We had planned a honeymoon at Jade Mountain in St. Lucia. Unfortunately our booking agent made a mistake and booked the wrong dates, and we can't change them. She showed us some other resorts in St Lucia but they just aren't the same. I'm wondering if anyone has good honeymoon recommendations.

We are looking for a location with relaxing for FH and plenty of activities for me. A beach is ideal but not required. We would like privacy and ideally an adult-only environment. I also like an inclusive element so we don't have to think too much about money on the trip. We don't want to have to travel too far outside of the continental US and would like somewhere with high food safety standards. Money is not an object.
Any suggestions?

We looked at Jade Mountain as well! Looks beautiful; I can’t believe she booked the wrong dates! We are looking at Turks n Caicos. Have you checked there?

We stayed at nice secluded resort in Costa Rica right after our engagement. It's all inclusive and I think it's adults only. It's Dreams Las Mareas.

Are you specifically looking for something like the Caribbean, or would you be fine with something still a US destination?

I am assuming you are looking for something similar in luxury to Jade Mountain.

There is a resort in the Florida Keys called Little Palm Island. They have a "culinary package" that includes breakfast, three-course lunch, and four-course dinner. I don't know how inclusive it is otherwise, but it is adults-only and because it's in the Keys you would have access to all of the Keys islands for activities if what the island has isn't sufficient.

There is also The Caves in Jamaica, which is quirky and different. Some of the villas allow families, but it seems they may be separated to different areas of the resort.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that Elizabeth!!

We stayed at Sugar Beach Resort in St. Lucia for 3 days and it was absolutely incredible! We rented a private villa with a hot tub and private plunge pool and it was definitely the nicest place I've ever stayed!!

We spent the second half of our honeymoon in Barbados which we also loved!! St. Lucia felt more remote and secluded, but in Barbados we stayed in a walk-out beachfront suite at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion and hit up tons of amazing restaurants on the island. (Chose not to go the all-inclusive route in Barbados because there are SO many incredible restaurants close by.)

You should also check out Hermitage Bay (Antigua), Amanyara (Turks & Caicos), COMO Parrot Cay (Turks & Caicos), Le Barthelemy Hotel & Spa (St. Barths), and Spice Island Beach Resort (Grenada). 🌟

Sandals Negril! We've been twice and are going back for our honeymoon because we love it so much.
