Honeymoon dresses

Deborah, on September 16, 2022 at 9:10 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

Hello,

Please can I ask if you are planning on buying a new special dress for your honeymoon or whether you will just take what you normally take on holiday? And if you buy a new dress would it be something white and quite bridal feeling, or just anything that catches your fancy? Thank you.

I only bought one new dress for our honeymoon, and it was for a fancy dinner on the beach that we had planned ahead of time! I didn't want anything that felt bridal, since I wanted it to be something that I could wear again in the future. Everything else that I brought were items that I already owned.

I’m buying all new dresses- 1 for every day. It’s a special event and I want to feel pretty and confident in my outfit every day. And dresses are the easiest to wear and pack- they are comfortable, appropriate for everywhere you go, they don’t require multiple pieces to pack, and they take up little room in luggage.

I actually got married a long time ago (we went to Sri Lanka for our honeymoon - amazing) now I am just doing some research. I am thinking about re-launching my tiny slow fashion brand as 'honeymoon dresses' and am just trying to get an idea of whether that idea would be understood! Thanks again!

I am buying all new dresses for the BIG honeymoon - mainly for the same reason. I LIVE in sundresses (Florida gal) They are super versatile and I can fancy them up if need be with an intricate lace sweater. We are doing a European cruise, so they work great for dinners. I do have to find some good, sturdy capris with lots of pockets for when we venture off the ship on our various tours/excursions. For our mini0-moon (Disney) I will just wear what I own. I AM bringing my wedding dress as we are having a cocktail reception for our Disney group in Disney Springs.

We're going to Jamaica, and I definitely bought some new bathing suits for the trip since a good chunk of our time will be on the beach. I also got a cute lace top and a flowy maxi skirt for evenings out. I've been toying with the idea of new dresses too (should probably get on that lol).
