Honeymoon Date

I don't know anyone who has left immediately after their reception. That sounds like a logistical nightmare to me. I would much rather get some rest and leave the next afternoon.

I would definitely recommend not trying to leave the same day as your wedding. It would suck if you got stuck talking to people and missed your flight!
Plus the day is long enough, take some time to rest up and head out the next day!

Oh wow, I absolutely would not want to catch a flight the same day as the wedding. You will be so tired. Our wedding is on a Saturday night and we are leaving for our honeymoon that following Tuesday. I wanted a few days to get our heads together.

We got married Saturday. Left for the honeymoon Monday morning. Soooooo glad we had Sunday to rest and recover. I would recommend doing the same

We are leaving Monday morning for our honeymoon, our wedding is Saturday evening.

Our wedding is on a Saturday and it'll end at 11pm. We're leaving the next day in the afternoon.

I would leave no sooner than the afternoon the day after the wedding. We're taking a red eye the following night.

Were leaving our wedding and heading directly to Florida where we will board our cruise ship the next afternoon. It's a 4 hour drive from us but we didn't have many options was that week was the only one we could both take off from work.
