Honeymoon Cruise

April, on February 17, 2020 at 10:55 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 3

We just booked a Carnival Cruise for our honeymoon! We're getting married August 8th but waiting to go on our honeymoon until April 18th of next year.

Should I change my last name before or after we cruise? The reservation is under my fiances name for now, and I haven't added any of my information yet because I was planning on getting my name changed right after the wedding. But if things are going to be extremely confusing for the cruise I'd rather wait.

What has everyone else done?

Call Carnival and ask about their name change policy. Some cruise lines are super understanding about it, some are not. I would not book under your new name until you have the documents in hand. Do you need a passport for this cruise? That is a longer process than a license.

I do not need a passport for the cruise. However I do plan on getting a new license and everything, but I assume between August and April I will have everything I need by then.

I booked mine in my married name because the cruise-line said my ID must match the name the cruise is booked in. I'm going on Carnival too but my honeymoon is next month Smiley smile
