Honeymoon Blues

Hawaii doesn't have all inclusive resorts (that I'm aware of, anyway) and I don't know that you'll be able to find any Sandals resorts for under $4k. I would recommend checking out CheapCaribbean.com. They have super affordable options, including flights, and even have a feature where you can put in your budget and the number of days you want, and they'll give you options that suit your budget. You could also probably find a really nice 7-8 day cruise for that price.

You can definitely find Sandals without flights for under $4k (we did) but you probably can't get a private pool with those rooms. We're going to the Sandals in Negril, Jamaica. They're about a 10-15 minute walk down the beach from a Beaches resort, which is the family friendly version of Sandals, which has some water slides. Sandals guests can use both facilities, so I expect we'll walk over some day to use the waterslides and check out their restaurants, but we can always come back to the quieter adults-only Sandals at any point.

We are doing a Sandals Resort in Grenada in October. It is adults only, all-inclusive and private pools depending on the resort room. I will post a full honeymoon review on here afterwards.

I don't have any specific resort information, but a friend of my dad's just got back from Costa Rica. It's breathtakingly beautiful, and I've heard you can vacation there pretty cheaply. I would just google costa rica resorts and see what comes up.

Check Costco Travel! They have some great deals that include all-inclusive and not. Hawaii only has semi-inclusive resorts.

Definitely do a solid search on CheapCaribbean.com - I have used them 3x before for vacations to Mexico (Cancun 2x & Puerto Vallarta), and have had a great experience- I totally understand your concerns at this time, though. There are plenty of other options on there to compare, and the great part about the site is the pricing comparison it gives you (it shows you how much more/less money it is to add or adjust your dates).

Were having the same issue. We decided on Mexico but they're having a giant problem with mass amounts of stinky seaweed, so we are back at square one. We ended up contacting a travel agent. But jamaica is beautiful. You're going to have a hard time finding adults only in hawaii from what I've seen

We went to a Sandals resort in Barbados. All inclusive, no kids, great service and atmosphere. If you can add the butler service, you’ll be surprised the added bonuses they provide.

There’s a lot of adult only all inclusives in Jamaica! We are going to excellence oyster bay which was more affordable than a lot of resorts we’ve seen. But definitely look at trip advisor to check out reviews! 😊

I had pretty much the same requirements and gave up on the private pool idea. Although there were AIs where you could get a private pool, it was almost always one of their most expensive rooms. And even if the pool was private access, it wasn't necessarily the kind of private a honeymooning couple might be seeking.
