Honeymoon bathing suit

Sarah, on June 28, 2016 at 5:25 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18

Sooo anyone out there a little on the chunky side going to Bahamas or somewhere you'll be in your bathing suit all the time for your honeymoon? What are you wearing for a suit? I bought a one piece but I just feel so self conscious in it. Idk if maybe there's another option out there? I'm losing weight for the wedding but who knows if I'll hit my goal or be happy at it

Have you tried on a high waist swim suit? I have one and love it

Have you tried Modcloth? They have cute plus size and regular size bathing suits that will cover all the areas you're probably self conscious about. They are pretty expensive but worth it.

I hate myself in any bathing suit, but I usually feel the least gross in a tankini with a skirted bottom. I also splurged on really cute cover ups Smiley smile

I second Modcloth. There's also a blogger/writer called Brittney Herself - she has done a TON of reviews (with photos and links). I have no affiliation with her, just think she rocks the "love your body, love yourself " attitude!

I have a high waisted bottom and I accidentally bought a maternity top in the clearance section at target lmao but it's so nice and so comfy!!! Pregnant ladies have the best clothes.

@Melissa I definitely kept a lot of my prego clothes because they're just so comfy! FH makes fun of me.

OP, I have always been more comfortable in a two piece with coverage- like a tankini and boyshorts. I actually have a regular bikini bottom and I've been confident enough to wear it lately. Or maybe I'm just getting to the point where I don't care about people seeing my fat @$$ jiggle? Haha! Anyway, I tend to have a lot of luck at Target either in the Women's section or sometimes even the maternity section. They have cute stuff, what can I say?

@hammie-so agree with you. After first trip to Mexico said screw it and rock my two piece. I don't care what people I will never see again say behind my back. I am comfy, getting a tan and no hassle going to the bathroom on a one piece.

Seconding swimsuitsforall.com ! I have a couple of swim dresses and skirted tankinis from there that I love- they're comfy, I feel confident in, and they were affordable! Plus they run sales all the time.

I absolutely HATE wearing bathing suits. Until I bought one from red dolly swimwear on etsy. It's so cute, comfortable and I've never felt more confident. They are a little pricey but well worth it.

I got one from swimsuitsforall.com, and another at jc Penney. My favorite is a tankini, the top is a little baggy around the bottom then tied on the side, helps hide the belly a bit, which is my major body issue.

Look at high waisted bikinis! I've got mad curves and i look like a bombshell in them! Amazon had them for like $20 and they're amazing! I think they call them retro or some shenanigans
