Honeymoon Basket

Madalyn, on November 20, 2019 at 4:27 PM Posted in Honeymoon 1 5
Hey y’all! We are leaving two days after our wedding night and our hotel doesn’t offer a “honeymoon” add on (cute decorations, champagne, etc). I want to make a Honeymoon Basket to take along but don’t know what to put in it. What are some ideas?

Super cute! Our hotel didn't do this either, but we were so exhausted after our wedding I don't think we even noticed hahahaha! I would include champagne & glasses, maybe a few candles & a lighter, some snacks (especially if you don't get to eat dinner), maybe robes for you guys to lounge in & a romantic movie if you want to watch one? If the hotel does room service, you could always arrange food & drinks in the room in advance too.

If you're talking about your actual wedding night, I can say that for us at least, the one thing we wanted was food!!! So I would pack heavy snacks or like PP mentioned, arrange for room service delivery ahead of time. a small bottle of champagne and a good playlist would be great to have too!

I made a honeymoon basket for a friends honeymoon themed bridal lunch a while ago. I put in some fun lubes, massage oil, sparkling cider and champagne glasses (the couple didn't drink or I would have used champagne), a candle, some snacks, a fun "do not disturb" door hanger...I'm sure there was more but I cant remember now.

I'm also unclear if you're talking about for the wedding night or for the honeymoon. We booked daughter & SIL's wedding night suite, and we packed a bag for their car that included heavy snacks and beverages. Daughter messaged us pictures of them eating their favorite snacks after they'd had a chance to change and shower, with the caption, "we're REALLY old married people now!" So, I'd definitely agree about snacks.
