Honeymoon a year later?

Hello!

We are already planning a destination wedding and plan to stay a few extra days after our ceremony to continue the celebration. What are your experiences with having an "official" honeymoon a year later? Does it still feel as special?

I don't have experience, but I know this is very common now. My friends had their honeymoon around their one year anniversary and still had a fantastic time. The timing didn't make it any less special for them.

We’re doing ours about 8 months later. We really didn’t have an option timing wise or financially. I’m sure it’ll still be great.

We are doing a mini honeymoon a week after the honeymoon in order to save more money for the big honeymoon. We plan on doing that a year later! I definitely think it will be just as special ❤️

No experience either, but my fiance and I are planning our honeymoon months later. Our jobs are very chaotic with me being a retail assistant manager and him a travelling welder. I believe it isn't about the getaway itself but the celebration you get to spend with your new spouse!

We are doing our honeymoon probably 8 mos to a year later for financial and seasonal reasons. Our wedding is a semi destination and we are staying a couple of extra days after just to soak up some newly wed time and decompress from all the excitement after the wedding.
