Cheyenne , on April 13, 2018 at 9:26 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 13
If you wait a year to go on a trip is it then considered a anniversary celebration and not a honey moon?

I think you can call it whatever you want! My FH and I don’t have time to go on a honeymoon after our wedding, so we’ll probably just delay it. It’ll be a Belatedmoon lol.

Yes, we don't have the time or the funds to do it the way we want right after the wedding. We also have a daughter so having someone watch her for a week or however long has to be planned! I'll just call it a honeyanniversary lol

Why would it matter? Just call it whatever you want and have fun. Its just a vacation.

In the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter. I was just curious if people had an opinion.

We are waiting to take our "honeymoon" for our one year anniversary. MY FH will not have any leave since he just started with a new company and since we paid for our wedding we would prefer not to go into debit just to fund a vacation.

You can definitely call it whatever you want, a delayed honeymoon or an anniversary trip.

Or you can do what we're doing and take a 4-day minimoon and then plan a bigger anniversary trip! First year anniversary gift is paper...perfect excuse to purchase plane tickets Smiley smile

I personally don't think it's a honeymoon at that point. But it's not like it's a big deal. Just enjoy your vacation whatever you call it!

I think it's whatever you want it to be, and that's all that matters.

We went on our honeymoon on our first anniversary and I considered it our honeymoon. It's whatever you want to call it!

A lot of people delay their honeymoons. A year later will literally be your anniversary but I say it can be both. It's what you make it. It's certainly something that shouldn't stress you. I can't imagine anyone debate the technicality of your vacation. Unless you're trying to get honeymoon discounts, that won't work.

You can call it whatever you want, it literally does not matter in the slightest. Honeymoon, anniversary-moon, anniversary celebration, sexcation, vacation... whatever you want.

You can call it honeymoon on wedding anniversary. My cousin and his wife went on their honeymoon during their one year wedding anniversary and they called it honeymoon. It can be what you like.

It would only matter if there are honeymoon discounts available. My friend deferred his honeymoon for almost a year and the travel agent who booked his trip said that many places will give honeymoon discounts if the trip takes place before the first year anniversary.
