Honest opinions on David’s bridal alterations

I have not used them but know people who have and they were not happy. Between the “work” done that had to be repaired elsewhere and way overpriced.

Alterations are expensive from David's.
I've heard mixed reviews as well. I've never had any issues in the past but I think the quality depends on the store.

I have had nothing but amazing customer service from David's from my first appointment with a stylist to just this past Saturday at my first alterations appointment. Everyone has been great but I wish I had done more research & didn't just jump the gun with scheduling alterations there out of convenience. I almost fell off my pedestal when she gave me the price & this was after an hour & a half of her putting forth effort to pin my dress. So yeah, I would say do some research first.

I've heard mixed reviews, I honestly think it highly depends on the specific location. Their store near me altered my bridesmaids dress a few years ago, and it was a great experience - everything was done well and on-time, and the pricing wasn't bad. However, I know of other people who have had awful experiences at other locations. Check out reviews for the specific store you're looking at on Google - that should give you a rough idea of whether or not your local store does well with alterations.

Alterations no matter where you go have rave reviews or horror stories. Sadly, mine was a horror story.

I have been told to stay far away from the DB alterations here and go to a private seamstress. I've had a few friends who used DB alterations and they royally screwed up the dresses. But it is all about the seamstress in your store. Some are really great, others are not.

I didn't get my dress there, but my good friend/officiant got her dress and alterations at David's. They didn't put in enough connection points for her bustle so her dress tore from the weight
