Honest Feedback on Dress

JANELLE, on March 16, 2020 at 2:06 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 21

Okay everyone, first off these pics aren't great but hopefully you will be able to get the "idea". I have an hourglass shape (big boobs and butt, smaller waist) my arms are my biggest problem area and they are slimming down, thankfully! Can you please give me your honest feedback on the style and fit of my dress (don't hold back!)?

I am thinking that I would probably look better in more of a fitted dress. Is this flattering at all for my body type?? I am having a destination wedding in Hawaii if that matters. (I originally went dress shopping with the intent of a fitted dress, Idk how I strayed LOL)

That dress looks amazing on you! If ur still not sure, id try on a fitted one too and compare pics to see which one you like better. But you look beautiful in this dress!

I think that dress hits you at a very pretty point!! You look amazing as is, and I think that skirt will be very comfy on the beaches. I think it looks very good on your body type. The only thing I would change is adding cups to lift you a bit - big girls unite - but otherwise it's very flattering.

Thank you so much, I love the detailing, and the sparkle tule underneath just was so unsure about the fit!! Thank you for commenting!

Thank you so much! Yes, they are taking up the straps to lift me up a little as I had lost weight between fittings (there are cups in there), that was one pain point for me for sure LOL when I tried it on again I was like woah too much boobs showing haha!!

Yeah it's a bit much right now, but I'm sure they can fix it! They told me they were adding elastic to mine to help me move my arms around, and I had no idea they could do that. I love the top! I'm a sucker for unique details like that.

I think this dress looks great on you! I googled the best dress shapes for hourglass figures and it suggested: trumpet, mermaid, fit & flare, or bias cut because it makes your waist look really thin and accentuates your curves. If you want to downplay your curves, ballgown or A-line. I would try on as many shapes as you can though, just so you see everything on you before deciding.

It's so pretty and you look amazing in it! I don't think it looks like a beach wedding dress though. If wearing a fitted dress is on your mind heavy, def try one on!

That is a beautiful dress, honestly I feel like a fitted dress might look better being that you have the body for it. You should try a fitted one and compare both to see what you like best. I’ve seen some beautiful mermaid style dresses that I’m sure would look great on you 😉

I think this dress is beautiful and you look amazing in it, but if I had your body I would be in a more fitted dress.

    Hi Janelle
I think your dress is STUNNING!
I'm the opposite of you, I have just more than A cup boobs 😤 and can't fill out my top, I also wanted a fitted dress, I almost picked this mermaid style, but chose the fit and flare, good luck!Honest Feedback on Dress 4

Love the dress. It’s a bit similar to mine but I’m a plus girl and 60 years old so I added a modesty panel to mine. I had to add some booster cups. You might add to dress boob cutlets. Google. It I think the girls look great as is.
