    I came back to this thread to update you and let you know that tipping is not allowed at Sandals. But they encourage you to tip people handling your baggage and transportation at the airport.

    The butlers are the ONLY Sandals employees allowed to accept tips. Any other employees caught accepting tips can be disciplined/fired, so don't put them in that position.

    Thank you Barefoot and Annie! I've heard mixed reviews about the Sandals butlers. But I bet the people who complained got bad service because they didn't tip. We will definitely tip! I just wasn't sure if was allowed, like you said. The other ones get fired for it.
