Anyone know about this Hitchswitch Name Change Kit? It's been advertised by The Knot, but i can't tell if it's real. Supposedly you send in your info once, pay for it, and then get completely filled out applications for every agency you'd need to change your name with. That would be awesome, but it sounds too good to be true! Any thoughts or heard anything?

You still have to go in person to change your SS card and ID, so no, its not worth it.

I'm not going to sugar coat it, changing my name has been asf and I'm not even done. My suggestion is take it one step at a time, it might take a few months, start it SS then DMV and go from there.

I contemplated it but just found a list of possible places, found the forms online, and started checking off places. I'm sure there are places I still need to change, but I did the big stuff within a few weeks

Yeah that's a waste. I got my marriage certificate a week and a half after our wedding. Changed my name at the SS office the next day and the DMV the day after that. It's seriously not that hard.
