History buff honeymoon in Germany

Me and my fiancé are looking at doing the honeymoon in Germany, but I’m not sure with the weather in the winter time. We are wanting a fall wedding but since I will be teaching we decided to shoot for doing the honeymoon over winter break. I am unsure of what the best plan of action would be since we would be going to the Berlin area. Any advice is welcomed!

Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, footprint of the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie (and museum) - there's a lot of stuff to see and do - these were things I enjoyed when I was there, but it was June, so . . .
Honestly, I'd look at TripAdvisor were I you and decide what things to do

Prepare yourself for cold weather! Berlin in the winter can be brutal. The wind can be quite strog and it makes it feel colder than it actually is. Look for thinks to do inside. Berlin has some great museums! There is the Museumsinsel where three great museums are located. Always check cultural programs, Berlin has some great stuff. Potsdam is also beautiful! It's not far from Berlin and has some truly amazing sights!

Have you or your FS ever been to Germany before? It’s such a beautiful country, with so much to do!!
I visited Berlin in January two years ago and we had very heavy snow during our visit. I would recommend bringing warm clothes and plan some activities that are indoors!
What made you choose Berlin for your honeymoon?

Me and my fiancé love the history or the WWII era and I also come from German and Jewish heritage.
