I completely agree with this statement: We have "our" money, he has "his" money, and I have "my" money.

Although my husband and I don't share all of our money, if either of us ever needed anything we'd certainly help each other because as you mentioned, marriage is about two becoming one.

No we don't share the day to day spending only on our personal individual accounts. Our joint account is off limits to spending other than bills and other agreed upon items.
