His and Hers Favors

Brittany, on April 3, 2023 at 8:23 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 12

So I have a question for anyone who has done or seen "his favorite" and "her favorite" snack favors done before, or anyone who feels like offering input Smiley laugh

We're definitely doing some sort of small, low key favor. It was either sugar cookies decorated in a wedding theme and individually wrapped, or I just remembered what I mentioned above, which is what I'm currently leaning toward as a lower cost option. So this isn't a should we or should we not do favors thing. We are doing something.

We're having a very intimate wedding, 20 people max.

I'm trying to decide if I should just do 10 of each (so 10 "his" and 10 "hers") and 1 per person, OR should I do 20 of each so everyone can have both if they want? Would it look extra if everyone had two bags above their place setting? I mean they'll be small bags but...

I just want to have enough, but I'm not sure what "enough" would be. Is it somewhere in the middle? 15 of each? Any input would be appreciated!

If you’re doing his and hers favorite things, I would probably give every person one of each.

I would do one of each for every single person.

Did you put them at everyone's place setting or did you have a favor table?

I put them in the hotel welcome bags. I put both in each of the bags. I think it would be totally fine to have two bags at each place setting, one for "his favorite" and one for "her favorite"! If you have a favor table, people might not know that they can take one of each. They might instead think that can only choose one. Putting them both at the place settings makes it clear that each person gets one of each bag.

That's a good point about not knowing if they can take both. I might look for smaller bags, the ones I'm seeing on Etsy are self-sealing to like 4x4 inches. I'm just worried about the table looking cluttered.

You could put both in the same bag, and put a label on the bag that says something like, "His favorite: [his item]. Her favorite: [her item]." That way, it reduces the number of bags on the table, and still specifies who picked each item.

If you want them at the tables then I would give everyone one of each.

1 per person is plenty. Be prepared that some won’t take any even when they are edible. The best option is have one at each place setting.

Will the cookies be decorated specifically for male or female? If so, I would suggest 2 of each. Just my opinion.
    Thanks

If we were doing cookies I was leaning toward something with no gender, like a cookie decorated like a wedding cake or rings or something like that

Got it! I still agree with one of each. I also agree with putting them on your wedding party table instead of on the favors table. Congrats and Good Luck!!
