Hiring non for profit vendors to give back

Danielle, on November 7, 2020 at 3:25 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 7
Weddings are costly and my fiance and I have been thinking if ways to outsource our wedding " must haves" to non for profit and in order to give back. Im currently stuck with the florals prior to covid we planned on using potted plants to give to the VA hospital to decorate the grounds we can no longer due that. We are not doing favors we are donating to our local Special Olympics in the hope that in 2022 we can sponsor them to summer games. The signs and invitations for the shower and wedding are being done by an organization that my former students who are disabled work at. Anything ideas of what others are doing.

That's pretty cool. Our venue is non profit. They provide catering, bar, DJ and A/V & decor so everything we pay them goes back out to community as well.

I live in Las Vegas. I had never heard of it either. I guess non profit isn't that popular. I have no idea but booking with this venue has definitely eased my mind about the cost of our wedding. At least it's going back to something so instead of just "disappearing". I guess it kind of explains the pricing cause I'm like these are the best prices I've seen around ANYWHERE for a full wedding.

We held ours at the SD Safari Park and all profits went back to research and to the animals. They actually told us that they don’t accept tips and would rather receive a donation if we felt inclined to tip.

Contact a nursing home (or a hospice house), they may be able to take your florals as long as it's non-contact.
