Hiring My Own Bartender

Marissa, on June 17, 2019 at 10:06 AM Posted in Planning 0 3
Hi all,

We decided we want to bring the alcohol for our guests. In turn, we also have a bartender in mind we want at our venue due to experience and to make our wedding more personable to us. It seems that the venue needs the catering companies to do so due to liquor license reasons. Is there anyone who has done this route before and was able to have the catering company allow for BYO-BARTENDER? The wedding is in FL and has a preferred vendor list.

thanks!

I don't think there's any way around this. I'm sure the bartender needs to be licensed and insured, so your favorite local bartender probably won't cut it.

I agree with Caytlyn. This isn’t a time to be trying to skirt around regulations from your venue. Chances are good their regulations are in place because of the liquor laws in your state.
