hip dips

Leah, on November 5, 2017 at 8:31 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 17

Hello ladies, so I have hip dips amdy wedding dress is fitted around my hips and i am insecure about it. I am trying to find a way to cover them up for the wedding by either getting some sort of padded u derwear or something. Does anyone else have this? If so do you know of anything that can help?

Do you have a photo of you in the dress? That would really help.

I have it!!! There was a dress that I loved but u didn't feel confident enough in it. I ended up finding a similar one that was more structured and did not show them. I am going to feel confident and look good in it. Keep shopping if you aren't comfortable

There is nothing wrong, you don't need to hide your body.

I'm a size zero, super fit, a low body fat percentage, and I have a hip dip. I had to google what a hip dip is.

Seriously, don't even worry about it. It's some ridiculous new thing tabloids are trying to use to body shame celebrities. No one will notice and you will be gorgeous

What are hip dips? Nvm I read oGA..

Own your body, feel confident. Don’t let anyone make you feel bad about your body.

Nobody else notices this on you. I had no idea what these even were until another poster asked this a while back. Just get a dress you feel beautiful in and don’t worry about your “hip dips”. We all come in different shapes and sizes.

Someone may have already asked, but I for some reason cannot see any previous comments... what are hip dips? I have an idea but I don't want to assume...

OGA... what's wrong with hip dips?? Is it now wrong to have them?? FFS, i can't keep up with what's acceptable beauty standards anymore.... I have hip dips, and i fucking love them. I LOVE MY BODY. I'm not going to be shamed, or made to feel like shit because i have them, or because i won't diet or exercise to "feel pretty" on my wedding day. He put a ring on it as i am, which means he loves and accepts me as i am. Most importantly, i love and accept me as i am.

    sorry for the rant.

Wait, so what's wrong with a dip in your hip? I don't get it.

I have big hips and hip dips. It was the pure reason I picked an a-line dress. Honestly, if it weighs on your mind heavily, pick a different cut. I know how hard it can be to accept one's body.

It's more important to be comfortable and happy then to wear a gown that forces you to accept an anatomical feature that cannot be changed if you can't accept it.

I didn't even know what hip dips was, and I'm a size 10, so not super skinny. So I'd say stop worrying about it?

Honestly, from the pic OGAlecia posted it seems like it's all about this girls placement of her underwear...if you Have a similar body type try not highwaisted pants/underwear with super tight elastic on top... I've always been the girl who looks like she's always 5 pounds away from her goal weight and I don't have hip dips but I do have way bigger hips for my proportions...so I have to search a bit harder to find bottoms that fit well...try on a few different styles but remember no one is going to be staring at your hips all night.

Please do not worry about this.. No one is going to notice but you. We are our own worst critics. All that matters is that you and your SO are going to be married and they will look at you like the most beautiful person on this earth regardless.
