High school sweethearts

Amanda, on September 18, 2016 at 11:11 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 12

Hi everyone, I've been using WW for a little while but thought I would take the time to introduce myself. I got engaged in April at the Palace of Versailles. I was studying abroad in Scotland at the time, but my boyfriend came to visit and we went to Paris. We have been together for over 6 years. I'm almost 21, so we dated all through high school. He's truly my best friend. I know people think we're young, but we both know what we want. We're waiting to have the wedding after I graduate, which will be next fall. So we're hoping for a spring wedding around April. I've narrowed down a few venues, but haven't made any official plans yet. I'm interested in a sort of vintage French theme, and doing some diy. It will be small wedding, around 50 people and not a huge budget!

Your not to young. Everyone in my family ( except me ) has married their high school sweetheart right after college. They are all still happy!!!!

Im the black sheep. My brother joke around all the time with me because I'll be 27 when I get married.

My fiancé and I started dating when we were 13 and we just celebrated our 8 year dating anniversary! We are both 21 now and are getting married next August! Don't let anyone tell you you're too young, my fiancé and I love each other and are happy together even though we are so young. If it's right, you'll know!! Bet wishes to you and your fiancé!!

Love your story! I'm marrying my high school sweetheart, too. We've been together for over 12 years. I was 14 and he was 16 when we started dating Smiley smile

We're in the same boat! Started dating our freshman year of high school, got engaged Valentine's day when we were 20, and are getting married the weekend after college graduation when we are 22.. it's been a long road but it's so worth it! I too wanted to wait until after graduation, it's proven to be a great choice with name changing and fafsa and everything.
