High or Low Table Number?

Leesha, on February 5, 2015 at 4:40 PM Posted in Planning 0 17

Hi

for our table numbers we are doing photos of us at the age of each table number.

So table 1 we will have a photo each of us at the age of One, and it will also say Table 1 on the card.

I am just not sure if i want to have them lower on the table? or Higher off the table?

Photo 1 is an example of what we are doing

Photo 2 is one idea we are thinking, having it on an easel, a little lower to the table.

Photo 3 is another idea of having it higher off the table..

I know it may seam silly, but i am really having a hard time deciding.. please help Smiley smile

I personally like the lower ones. Taller ones sometimes get in the way

I did this same thing but put them in gold frames to match the vintage look. so they were low on the table and it worked just fine. my only suggestion if you haven't made them yet - i assigned this to my DH so he would be involved and helping. i apparently was not specific enough in my instructions. make sure the number itself is both big and in a pretty font, and try to make the photos fill the space/less white space.

I like the high ones, they are not bulky and they aren't even that high to block someone's view, but they are easier to see when guests are trying to find their tables.

Lower. Nothing i hate more then a centerpeice item that acts as a tiny wall its like sitting across from someone with a laptop up.

I kind of think it depends on your centerpiece and how much of a statement you want to make. We have tall centerpieces so our numbers are lower, so if you have low centerpieces maybe you want it higher. BUT if you do that, you really have to make it the focal point, it'd look a little weird if you just had some low candles and then something sticking up really high. Play around with it with your centerpieces. I think I'd lean more toward low though in the end.

Its really good to hear others opinions... Because at first, i really really liked the Taller look of them, but then i remember the last wedding I was at and how much i hated the fact that there was this huge tall centerpiece in the table so we couldnt see across it...

Thanks for all your opinions Smiley smile , Definitely going to use the easel idea Smiley smile
