High or low centerpieces?

lydia, on January 11, 2014 at 4:02 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 6

Hi all! I went to a florist today who everyone in my area recommended and I can defiantely see why! However since planning the wedding I've envisioned big tall centerpieces, but with having 21-22 tables that becomes a bit pricey ( 7 bridesmaids/groomsmen too!) so she suggested low centerpieces... I've never seen low centerpieces before? Do they look classy and elegant like the tall ones? The florist is familiar with our venue so she was right in saying the venue is beautiful and doesn't need to be decorated (ex: it doesn't have 4 white walls) if anyone got married and had low centerpieces please provide pics along with advice!

Tall centerpieces drive me freaking nuts. Sorry.

Tall centerpieces tend to prevent people from conversing across the table. I much prefer low ones.

We're having low centerpieces and doing long rectangular tables around the dance floor. We're having tree like flowers throughout the room too.

My inspiration for the centerpieces is a LOT of flowers, in pinks and creams, running down the table with crystals and candles interspersed between.

Did you consider mixing it up maybe? Like doing a few select, key tables - your table, parents table, ect with the high tall ones and the low ones for all the others?

Or maybe half and hafing it if its 22 tables - 11 tables with tall centerpices and then 11 with low ones, aranged through out the room. I've seen it done a few times that way and it always looks more impressive I think rather then everything being the exsactly the same.

We're doing a mix of three centerpiece styles; nothing will be super high, but we will be using all glassware. I think the variety will catch the eye, and we will save on overall cost as well.

Low centerpieces are my fave! Tall ones are such a hassle to deal with as a guest.
