Hiding the Vending Machine!

Christine, on June 24, 2013 at 9:25 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

How in the heck do I hide an ugly coke vending machine without paying a wad of cash for material? The venue was cheap because my dad is a member, the only problem is the ugly coke machine and then there are shelves of flags from people who have served in the community (which I don't have a problem with, my dad's flag is up there too) but under those flags are stacks of ugly chairs. We were thinking about making a certain to cover up the chairs if we can't use them all, and then placing mason jars with candles between the flags. In a way, I want to make it a focal point, but I nice looking one. Then, my other big issue is the ceiling. I"m using paper laterns and pom-poms but I can't decided if I should use tulle and lights, streamers, or just lights. I don't want to spend a crazy amount on decorating.

Okay so first of vending machine be creative and use it as a DIY get loads of pictures of you and your FH and tape them on there and place the guest book table or the cake table in front of it a so it will look like a nice back drop so that way instead of a random sheet hanging there you will have a picture center. For the chairs you could use all of them by having them line up on the wall for people to just sit later on and watch the dance and/or have them lined up and have lovely fake of real flowers on them just making your venue surrounded in flowers. another thing is if you want to cover them then have them draped in a nice pretty way in fabric and put the gift table in front of it. And for the ceiling use a variety of different sized lanterns and hang them from different lengths and then that will cove the ceiling in a good thing.

Do you have any pics? I like Future Mrs. Lopez's ideas! As far as hanging things from the ceiling - I think you can never go wrong with lights, lights, and more lights. You could also cover the vending machine in giant paper flowers from crepe paper or tissue paper.

Yes , put all the other things like cake , muffins and other eating material in front of the Vending Machine. Then arrange the other things like flowers on the table , place the wedding ring and champagne over the table.

Not in front of the vending machine in the machine so that they won't get spoil and all the items remain fresh and healthy to eat.
