Hidden Hills, Rindge Nh, Hotel Blocks??

Christina, on November 29, 2021 at 11:13 PM Posted in New Hampshire Planning 1 4
Has anyone been married at Hidden Hills in Rindge, NH?
We fell in love with the venue. But we have a larger wedding, with lots of guests traveling to attend.
We are having the most difficult time finding accommodations for everyone (or anyone at this point) reasonably nearby. Keene seems to be the closest, which is still 30-40 mins away?
Help!

Oh man - that's tough!! Have you asked the venue where their wedding guests typically stay? Hopefully they have some suggestions! 🤞

This is in my neck of the woods!

Rindge is kind of in the middle of nowhere. The closest hotel type place I can think of is the Monadnock Inn in Jaffrey. Its pretty close to Rindge but only has only 11 rooms, so could work for wedding party or family, but maybe not all of your guests.

How many do you need to find accommodations for? Keene is going to be the closest place with larger hotels that can fit hundreds of guests if needed. If you have a larger wedding I would recommend hotel blocks in Keene and then hire shuttle services. Thomas Transportation is a local service that has everything from limos to vans to coach buses. When we have friends get married in the Monadnock Region but outside of Keene and they anticipate a lot of guests traveling, they typically recommend hotels in Keene and then rent a shuttle bus to get guests safely from their hotels to the wedding and back.

It might also not hurt to call Franklin Pierce University (located in Rindge) and ask what lodging they recommend for prospective students and families visiting the area. Hundreds of families from outside the area attend graduation every year so they must have recommendations and might know of hotels closer than Keene that I am not aware of. Rindge is very close to the Massachusetts state border as well, so it would be worth searching hotels in the larger towns in Mass in addition to what is in NH. Good luck!

    Hi!
We ended up not having any hotel accommodations. We tried the hotel block, but because we got married on a holiday weekend… even though no one in their right mind travels to that area for the “holiday weekend”, every hotel has a minimum of a 2 night stay, for no less than $900 which is laughable for the area.

We chose to end our wedding block time early, as an incentive to have our younger and more like to drink guests have a destination closer to Nashua (home to a lot of them) so we had a quick small “after party” downtown. Primarily so the “mom in Me” could feel a little better.
I will also say after the fact I had HUGE issues with the venue. The day of went alright. But they broke the majority of our handmade centerpieces and decorations. All of which were handmade by local artists. Thus super expensive, and we intention keep. Hidden Hills threw them all in trash bags and left the outside next to their dumpster. They gave me a huge attic when I went to pick them up and questioned the situation.
