Heritage Family Photo Table

Has anyone done these for their wedding or plan on doing them?

I am wanting to do framed photos of each of my grandparents and great grandparents weddings or picture of them together if they don't have wedding photos. I also have a photo i want to display of my grandmothers grandparents as well as my fiances grandparents and his god mothers wedding, and a photo of my dad and stepmom's wedding. My mother is not currently married and my fiances mother(decease) and father were married by a judge so they don't have photos from that day. My question is... What size would i print them? i don't have frames yet so it's not something that can be answered by "Whatever frames you have". We LOVE old photos and family history so I want to incorporate it into our wedding decor at the church. Smiley smile

My photos were 5x7 or 8x10. I didn’t want to spend a ton on frames and some of them I was borrowing from my parents .Heritage Family Photo Table 1

Depending on where at the venue you'll be displaying them and your overall "vibe/theme" would drive frame decisions for me. For example, if it's kind of a formal garden party, I'd look for white or ivory frames -- kind of a "shabby chic" look. For a more industrial-type venue, I'd choose a simple metal look/finish. I don't think they need to match, just coordinate. I agree with a pp that I'd probably try to stay in the 5x7, 8x10 (at the MOST) sizes. It sounds like you're going to have a fair number of photos, so you don't want it to turn into an overwhelming or cluttered display. I'd practice setting them all up and possibly add some flowers or garland to make the entire display more attractive and well thought out. You might also consider adding some kind of small, uniform signage identifying who each couple is by name and relationship and the year they were married. Post picks when you're done! Smiley heart

Thanks SO MUCH for the advice! I was thinking about the place cards to label who they were! Thanks again!
