Dedicated December 2020

Here i am again about the timeline...

Humor me...

Thanks for all your advice earlier this week on sharing tips on your day of timelines (getting ready & ceremony) without a coordinator! I really appriciated it!
Now, I am asking for DIY brides (grooms) how long did everything take for set up & getting ready???My venue will set up tables in the reception area and seats for ceremony, but decorations are on us. Our wedding is in December and we are very much into simple and allowing the venue to speak for itself (it is lovely). I am anticipating just table decor and minimal decorations for the gift & cake tables. Maybe some outside games and a "selfie" area with a backdrop. I think I will have quite a bit of help, but I know that I cant be there the whole set up! I just want to be realistic on how long it could take.
That leads me to getting ready... I have 2 very talented cousins (one with hair and one with make up) that are assisting me and the BMs (4 and 1 Jr.) with getting ready. Everyone is basically doing their own, with maybe a little assistance from my cousins as needed. I will have my cousins do my full make up and hair on site of the venue in our cabin. My mom may also get her's done as well. Again, trying to be realistic, how long does this typically take? I don't think I need to start at like 9am for a 4pm wedding, which is what I read everywhere! But I do know that for everyone it will take a few hours.
My thoughts at the moment for a 4pm ceremony start:8am wake up9am girls help with venue/ boys 11am-1pm11am girls begin getting ready2:30pm Bridals (friend is photographer)3:30 final touches4pm startIs this crazy?? While we get ready I am assuming my family will be helping with the venue and other needs.

Thanks for reading all this! HAI'm interested in your thoughts.
Thanks!!

I had a smallish wedding (44 guests) with my own decor and lots of help and it took hours. I was traveling from out of town too and had plenty of help plus my stepmom is a decorator. once everything was sorted from the storage boxes it took a few hours the night before and a few hours the morning of. We got it done, it was beautiful, everything’s fine. But if I had it to do again I would have just spent the money and hired someone.

Good to know.. We technically don't get the venue until the morning of at 9am. I was going to ask if available, could we come in the night before. 😬🙈
I am hoping we have 10+ people willing to help and we can knock it out by 1pm. Since the decor we are doing is so minimal.. Eek!

So i hired someone to do this but i was only able to give him 1.5 hours to do it all in and he did it with the help of just one assistant so i think it is doable especially if you are allowed to store stuff the day before or the morning of.
