Henna party/bridal shower

Gizem, on December 21, 2015 at 10:48 AM Posted in Planning 0 7

Any Turkish brides on here? Wondering if anyone on here, Turkish or not, could give me some ideas on combing a henna night and bridal shower?

I'm not sure what your question is- like how would you do it at the same time?

It takes a little bit for henna to dry- so you wouldn't want to be playing games so much for a little bit. If you're doing it right- you cover it and wrap it- but if you're just doing it for funsies- you can put it on and clean it off within 30 minutes or so. You could have an artist come (or go to her) and do it hang out and chat and do drinks- then go out or go to your venue for your bridal party. - do like a 2 step party.

I like jorocka's idea, you could also play bridal bingo, or maybe there is a bridal version of apples to apples/ cards against humanity?

I had a henna artist come to my bridal shower. She just did her thing while the other festivities were going on. It was great!

Just for edification- that's not an exclusively Turkish thing.

I know, I shouldn't have been so specific, I know a lot of cultures do it, and each culture does it differently.

Is this like a mehndi party?

I could assume it's similar, I've never been to a mendhi party so I don't really know. However, I do know that at a henna night/party the bride gets henna done on her hands with a gold coin stuck in her palm while the bridal party sings songs and gets henna done as well. I haven't really been to enough henna parties either to know them inside out :/
