Hem to Hollow ??

Why does this scare you?

I could only come find 1 photo of someones photo after a hem to hollow and it changed the dress completely

A hem to hollow measurement is only taken so you don't have to change the length of the gown at all (in your case, because of the lace). It's so they don't have to hem it. If you have your shoes already, it's fine. I would not guess if you don't have your shoes and just have them hem it when it comes in. It will be more difficult because they'll need to work around the lace but it's totally possible. It will just be more expensive.

Like Jeanne said ^^^^^, hem to hollow is just a measurement that is taken from where your hem should fall to the hollow of your neck. It's the most accurate way to measure a wedding dress! There is nothing to be scared about

As above- just a measurement to essentially save you money?....

I did hem to hollow because I'm super short and if the dress was just hemmed off the bottom at full length, it wouldn't lay right and the proportions would be off.

It's totally worth it, especially for a lace dress because you don't want to have to cut off lace detail on the bottom.

You can go to a tailor/alterations shop and have the measurements professionally done if you are that concerned.

I ordered mine with hem to hollow measurements. I love the bottom of my dress and didn't want it to have to be cut off. I haven't gotten it back yet but I plan to adjust my shoes if it isn't just right! If you don't have your shoes yet, I suggest trying on different height heels to see what is most comfortable to you and go from there.

My hem to hollow measurement, with my shoes, came in perfect. Fit like a glove and needed no alterations other than cups and a bustle. It is a bit loose now, but that's bc I lost weight.

My dress is all lace and my hem to hollow measurement with my wedding shoes came out exact. I need minor alterations like cups and bustle.

Dont stress too much. If you have a good person measuring you, there is no need to stress.
