Helzberg diamonds-vent

Caitlin, on October 7, 2017 at 1:03 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

So I posted the other day showing off my new engagement ring. Well I had gotten the new ring because I had had to turn in my ring in on 4 separate occasions in a 6 month time frame for stones falling off with out explanation. Well I have had the new ring for 2 days and a stone in the halo has fallen out. I have been told that because my original ring was bought in 2014 (future husband bought it then but did not propose until March 2017) and in a different store they have to resend the ring to corporate to find out if I can get a refund. I am so frustrated. Lesson learned. No more chain jewelers for me once this is all settled.

I feel you. FH ordered my correct size when he originally bought my ring and waited 2 weeks for it to come in. He brought it home and proposed and it was still about 3 sizes too big.

He was blown away because my ring size is a 4.75. Well we brought it to the store and they measured it and apparently had shipped it off originally just for it to come back the same size it was before?

So they sent it off for another 2 weeks and I had only had it one day. I cried so hard.

When we got it back it was a 5 and I just deal with it.

Technically if you having enough problems you can complain to AGS. Helzberg isn't a Sterling company and has to follow the guidelines of AGS.

Depending on the size and style of the ring losing diamonds can't be avoided. Pave stones and shared prong settings tends to be the ones that pop stones quickly so I'd ask them to only show you ultra- secure settings with stones in the and that are channel set, bezel set, or burnished.

They really should give you a full explanation and show you what is happening in detail. I'd have been murdered by my manager if I didn't sit a customer down and show them what was going on with a full explanation. That's really messed up. I'd demand they give you an explanation.

Well that's sad. If you really like the style of your ring, you can take a picture to a custom jeweler and see what they can do for you. I've actually found custom jewelers can be less expensive than chain jewelers.

My ring is from Helzbergh as well.I had it for a bit over 2 years before I had a issue. My ring is past, present, future so only 3 diamonds. My prongs were getting lose.I had no issues with anything.

@mrsbdeg. When I turned in the first ring and got my second ring they assured me that the style I picked was much more secure and it would be highly unlikely for me to lose a stone. It was sized to a 6 which they assured me was an average size and should not have any effect of the security of the stones. I wore it for 24 hours being sure to take off when I went to bed, washed my hands, bathed. I did not drop it or knock it against anything and I still managed to lose a stone in the halo after only 24. Hours having the ring in my possession. It's very frustrating.
