Check out YouTube. There are tons of DIY videos for all types of experience and looks.

You can also check out hair and makeup schools. They do free days all the time for experience so you could try out different stylist and looks. If you find someone there that you like, they would probably do your look the day of for very little just for the experience and to use photos for their portfolio.

Sherry gave you some great ideas! You could also try some makeup counters at your local department store (Macy’s, Dillards, Belk) or Ulta. They do your makeup for free and you typically can just buy a lipstick as “payment”. I had Ulta and MAC do my makeup for proms other formal events. They do a great job!

Make sure you do plenty of practice runs! It may help to ask for Ulta or Sephora gift cards for Christmas & other holidays so you can buy quality makeup & get help there in the process. Some makeup counters will give you tips for free, there are a ton of videos online too. I've found my makeup goes on best when my skin is very moisturized then I use a good primer. I know Sephora does free "makeup mini" sessions that you can book online, you can only do one per day but they do your brows, eyes, lips, etc. or whatever you choose so those may be helpful to try since they are free and you can pickup a few tips. Make sure your makeup brushes are clean too, that always helps me!

Ulta makes you pay for makeup and in my experience, it’s not worth the $90. Sephora does amazing work and all you have to do is buy $50 in makeup. If you have $50 to spend I’d go that route!

A good primer goes a long way and a good setting spray will help it last.

YouTube. Search bridal makeup tutorials. Keep your makeup look natural and it’s less likely to get out of hand. If you use makeup regularly then I’d say purchase pro brands vs. cheap brands. Then you can use it after the wedding as well.

I am a cosmetologist. I would recommend going to a beauty school most are open Tuesday-Saturday at least where I live. The school I went to actually offered a bridal package so I’m sure other schools do too. It’s also pretty affordable since they’re students. Also I’d ask around see if people you know have relatives or friends that know what they’re doing and could do it for cheap.

YouTube! I was debating doing my own makeup and watched a ton of YouTube videos and found many good tutorials. I will point out that because I don't wear much makeup regularly, I ended up buying a lot of products to try and at this point I've probably spent more on makeup than the cost of just getting it done professionally, so that is something to consider.
