Hahaha. Sometimes it is easy to plan for others than yourself right? I would say stop and think about what kind of wedding do you want. Do you want in a church, do you want it outside, Etc...? I for me would say a good starting point is Pinterest because I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted even down to the type of dress I wanted and just seeing some ideas really kind of spawned what I desired. Keep us posted on what you decide.

Yeah, I’ve been looking. I want a southern rustic outdoor ceremony, indoor reception. The only problem with an outdoor ceremony is I’m afraid that my heels will get caught in the dirt or something wild like that. Or what if it rains? I have a general idea of colors...how does burgundy, navy blue and blush sound? My fiancé isn’t as interested in it as I am so it’s hard to get an opinion. And how would you ask someone to be a groomsman or bridesmaid or even better maid of honor. I still don’t know how to break the news to my parents...last time we talked was a year ago...bad blood.

Hey Chey! Congratulations on your engagement Smiley smile

Wedding planning can definitely get overwhelming, especially in the beginning when you have no idea where to start. I would recommend this wedding planning binder on Amazon by The Knot, it has so much information and mentions things I never would've even thought about! I think you and I are similar, digital checklists are great but something about getting things down with pen and paper just really helps me feel more organized. Best of luck!

In regards to your color scheme I've seen that on Pinterest and I think it looks very nice. I know for my bouquet I'm going to do burgundy, Peach, ivory. I want to have an outdoor wedding as well or elopement I should say but I would suggest you choose a reception venue that could also cater 2 you having a ceremony indoors Indian since that it rains. I think it's definitely a good idea to have a rain backup plan. In regards to your heels you have two options you can just wear flats for the ceremony and then change into heels for the reception or you can still do an outdoor rustic ceremony but maybe find a venue like a garden or something like that where there is a cement walkway. Look at some parks in your area because some of them have really nice places to have a wedding and you wouldn't really need to decorate it that much. In regards to asking for bridal party you have two options and it depends on your personality. You can just ask them in person would they like to be a bridesmaid or you can maybe do some kind of proposal such as a box or a card. I think in regards to groomsmen that should be asked by your future husband because those should be the people that he wants by his side on the day of. Do you plan on having your parents at the wedding? If you are not that close to them it's a little tricky 8 and maybe I'm not the one to give the best advice but you can let them know just kind of as a heads up for when they see pictures on social media. But if you do plan on hiding them at the wedding and inviting them I would say sit down with them and tell them sooner than later but if they cause an issue then they don't have to be there. In regards to your parents maybe someone else here can have a little bit better advice as I do not want to cause any issues. In my case both of my parents are deceased so there's really no one that I'm completely worried about upsetting in regards to my plans.

Navy and blush is one of my favorite color schemes. I think adding burgundy would be very pretty. As for shoes, I would pick flats or wedges so you don't have to worry about them getting stuck in the grass. I asked my maid of honor to be in my wedding by giving her a necklace. My one friend made fortune cookies for everyone. I have also seen bridesmaids proposal boxes, but I would only do that if you have the extra money for them. When it comes to the weather, I would make sure you pick a venue that has an indoor space for a ceremony in the event of bad weather. All of the venues we looked at had that option. I have included some ideas below. Hope these help!

I agree with Amber about the book. My mom gave it to me the day we got engaged and it was really helpful.
