help

Sara, on July 18, 2019 at 11:10 AM Posted in Planning 0 7

So, long story short I went to the beach last weekend and got sunburnt. Well now it's peeling on my shoulders and the coloring of my skin is now off and there is dead skin. I am freaking out because my wedding is next Saturday (July 27) and I don't know how do make it look good. Ugh. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Use a loofah or a washcloth to scrub the dead skin off. If you need to try a spray tan.

I use Hawaiian Tropic after sun lotion and it really helps with the peeling. I would also use an exfoliating glove every other day in the shower to remove some of the dead skin. If you can get the peeling under control by mid-week next week, maybe you could look into a spray tan. If not, I would ask your MUA about body makeup.

Gentle sponge in the shower. Apply lotion, I mean SO much lotion, after you shower. Anything that says hydrating, moisturizing, or for dry skin, just make sure it's unscented. I use lubriderm. You can do coconut oil or cocoa butter a few days before to smell better if it's still a little burnt.

ALOE! From the actual plant not the chemical gel they sell in stores. It should also help even your color. Very hydrating for your dry skin.

You should be done peeling by next week. As for figuring out how to even out your skin tone, I don’t spray tan is a good idea unless you’ve done it before. You have no way of knowing how your skin will react. Good luck!

ALOE! And aloe only! Lotions, especially scented have chemicals that can further irritate your skin.
