    Hello
As far a planning a women i have a few tips...
You and partner make a budget. Do a budget from what's expected to what's unexpected. Like a min to a max so for example if me and my FH decied a budget of 10,000 ...that will be my min and my max will be 15,000...so knowing we can go over the 10Gs which I personally wouldn't.Find a location: visit the location like 10 months in advance to sww if this is what you guys are looking for...once you guys have decied then down the road place a depositDecied on the vision you want: colors, decor, theme whatever...i feel everybride should have a vision of her big day. Then decied ok this is how many guest we can have due to the budget and understanding thats fine ...deciding comes with a big crowd or small.Everything else as far as :A dressWedding partyPhotographer Bridal shower comes down the line.Just a tip and good luck

I don’t know about the budget yet. I’m doing it on my grandmothers land so I don’t have to pay for that. I have a pastor in the family to wed us so I don’t have to pay for that. My mom does hair and nails and my sister does make up I dint have to pay for that. It’s gonna be a potluck wedding so everyone brings a dish so that’s good I don’t have to pay for lol. Don’t need a DG I’m gonna make a playlist and put it on my huge speaker. We have photographers in the family that’s covered. So it’s just my dress and the shower and stuff that I’m lost on. All the decorations are mainly gonna be diy and ideas of Pinterest my fiancé and I have a very crafty talented family that can build us about anything. It’s just not understanding what the shower is for and what a rsvp is and a registry. I live far away from my mom so I can’t really ask her all these questions I’m just so stressed.

The shower is to “shower you with gifts” usually household items that the newly married couple will need. You can go on amazon, Zola etc and they will help guide you to the right items. Pinterest, David’s Bridal, Instagram, Etsy are good places to start getting an idea of what you’d like to have in a gown.

This was literally me when it came time to make my registry. The registry is a list of household items you need/want for starting your new lives together. The guests invited to the bridal shower party buy items from this list to gift to you at the party. Typically your bridesmaids plan your bridal shower for you too.

On weddingwire is a checklist to help you organize your plans and to keep you on track. It has helped me remember the things that I have yet to do, and when I am able to check something off it's so satisfying lol. But that's a good place to start to see what all you should be thinking about. If you aren't doing certain things like hiring a caterer or an officiant or a DJ, then they can be checked off right away.

That leaves your registry (for your shower), invitations, your gown, groom's suit, and your bridesmaids/ groomsmen stuff, and decorations. Pinterest is an awesome place to start looking for inspiration on themes and decorations. Since it's on your family's land, look at "backyard weddings".

For your shower, is there an Aunt or a cousin or a sister or a bridesmaid that can host/ throw you a shower? Once you have that decided, and a date figured out, go register! We registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and Target. But I've known people who have registered at Kohl's, Amazon, Crate & Barrel and more. Think about what you need (pots, pans, towels, bed sheets, silverware, plates) and then go from there. It's so fun to get your fiance involved as well! When your friends and family come to your shower, they will give you gifts from what you registered for.

For your wedding invitations you will include an RSVP which is what your guests will indicate if they are coming or not to your wedding. It will be a little card in your invitation that you include in the envelope that they can send back to you. When you look at invitations, make sure you can find some that also have RSVPs in the pack. That will make things a little easier. RSVPS can be done in many different ways, but this is a good place to start.

I understand living so far away from your mom and planning your wedding!! I am in the same boat. Luckily you have this amazing community on here that can answer any questions you have. Smiley smile We're here for you!

If nothing else, I would get your meal catered. Sounds like you're saving lots of money elsewhere and that's great! So, use that money to feed your guests. Smiley smile BBQ, Mexican, and Italian are the cheapest options usually but it could even be just pizza.
