Help With Tungsten Antler Ring

Amy, on September 3, 2018 at 1:01 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7
My fiance wants a black tungsten ring but I want to get him something even more person. He's super outdoorsy so I'm thinking tungsten and deer antler. Does anyone know how well the antler part of the ring might hold up?

FH got a tungsten and wood inlay ring. We were shopping around a bit for them and sales people said that the inlays are going to wear more than the tungsten will. They also warned of the wood breaking and scratching easier than the tungsten. We found his ring for around $150 though and got it and are just going to take the chance and replace it if needed. We ordered ours from Larson Jewelers. From a quick look they have antler inlay tungsten rings. https://www.larsonjewelers.com/c-111-outdoorsman-rings.aspx

Just a reminder that tungsten rings can break and if it every gets stuck it has to be broken off, so he will no longer have his original wedding ring to wear.
Also, Tungsten can not be sized, so as he ages, he will need to get new rings or just not wear one.

Hi Amy! These rings are really beautiful, wow! You received some great feedback here in this thread. Other than your fiancé's ring, is your wedding going to be very outdoors-y & natural too?

We will have our ceremony outside probably overlooking the mountains, but overall we’re keeping it elegant with natural tones.

Antler doesn't hold up well, BUT I think the ring like the one above is sealed so it will hold up well. I'd look into Stag Head Designs. They've got antler & wood inlay options.

I have read this recently about it being sealed. How can you tell if it is or not? And this sounds weird but wouldn’t you just have to rub pinesol or oil on it occasionally like a wood floor?
