Help with shoes?

Kaitlyn, on February 8, 2020 at 8:57 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

I am not girly. Buying my dress was the most anxiety-filled part so far because I am perfectly content in jeans and a t-shirt. Thankfully, my dress shopping experience actually went really well and I found a dress that I'm in love with. But now, I'm needing to pick out shoes. I've attached pictures of my dress (it'll be hemmed) and the online picture to show the slit that appears some when I walk (which is the only reason I'm even thinking my shoes will matter because they can be seen). I thought about doing a simple heel for the ceremony and then switching to the sneakers for the reception but I want to make sure that they "match" my dress. Thank you for bearing with me!

I think that combination of shoes will look great, and that dress is amazing! So glad you found one you’re happy with! 💕

I think that those shoes you have chosen are perfect because you can wear the heels for the ceremony and then the tennis shoes for the reception.

I think the dress will be too long and you’ll step on it if you go from so high to flat.

Love that dress!! Also I’m the same way. I’m thinking of wearing lace flats in my dress. Not sure if I️ want to do heels. Debating. Lol

The only issue with changing shoes is that if both pairs don't have the same height heel, your dress will either be too short or too long when you change shoes. Typically, you'd have your dress hemmed for the ceremony shoes, but if you have heels that high, when you switch to the tennis shoes your dress is going to be a few inches too long and you'll be stepping on it all night at the reception. Great idea to plan on changing shoes, but find two pairs with the same heel height. Good luck!

I like the ones you picked! But agree about the height difference...
