Help with flower girl dresses

The Sealpups, on May 26, 2019 at 6:51 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13
My bridesmaids will be a mix and match of neural colors:

For the flower girls, I want them in white or embroidered flowers but in the same dress. I feel like that’s more cohesive. If they were different dresses, it would just look more messy, right?

Anyway, fh and I are leaning more towards this:

Its white, has flowered, and the sash is a blush/champagne. The two flower girls will be both 3 years old. One of them is my cousin’s daughter. Cousin’s sister is a CONTROL FREAK and I was just told that she is PICKY about what her niece will wear. I’m assuming she’s paying? Background on her is that she doesn’t have kids; has been trying. So on top of being a control freak, she doesn’t have kids. She prefers a tulle dress like this;

This is nice too but it’s lilac and I’m not sure this works with my neural palette. There’s not a lot I’ve found. The ones with tulle are $100+, whereas the first one is on sale for $35 and this second is $65. Both found on Dillard’s. My mom said to have two girls wear different dresses but that’s too much of a mess. The bridesmaids are already mixing/ matching. My mom is wearing blush, FH mom is wearing mauve.
Thoughts and help?

    As a guest, I wouldn't care if one of the flower girls is in a totally different color. Most people are going to be more focused on you and your FS, anyway! Don't worry too much about this - you have bigger, better things to worry about Smiley smile

    I think they can be in different colors if they are plain. Those dresses have way too busy of patterns to go together.

    Yeah, that's why I want to stick to 1 dress (the first dress shown) for both of them.... flower girl's aunt is apparently opinionated

    Flower girl's aunt needs to get over it. She's not the mom, and she's not the bride. Her opinion doesn't matter.

    In theory, yes but I don't know what it is about weddings that make people so crazy. Most of them are already married (yet they have an opinion about everything) OR most (I've noticed) are grandparents who are determined to make their children the STARS of the wedding. I'm not bridezilla and I love kids but man...

    My MIL just had her first granddaughter this year and was pushing for us to have the baby as a flower girl (we said "no") and said something along the lines of, "will my granddaughter take attention away from you guys?" like it was OUR problem that we demanded attention hahaha

    Oh jeez. I couldn't imagine dealing with that. But I'm also very strong willed and stubborn, so they wouldn't get very far. Weddings seriously bring out the worst in people.
