Someone shared about getting floral arrangements at Safeway. There may be other nearby stores to check. If they can get the style of arrangements you are looking for, the prices should be quite decent. And the facebook marketplace or some other online sites should have wedding decoration kits to resell what they gathered for their weddings. I've not checked those but there probably also are the linens. It may depend on the level of finesse you want to achieve on the decorating style.

It’s been on my mind lately to consider floral arrangements or how much flowers matter. Some people like going all-out with a traditional florist, but I don’t think it’s necessary to use a florist for everything! If you’re thinking of doing a DIY-focused floral decor project for your wedding, you can go to your local flower shop, a grocery store such as Trader Joe’s or something! I’ve seen people use Costco flowers and arrange them on their own too.

You’re definitely not restricted, but it just depends how many people you’ve got to help out with DIY floral arrangements.
There’s also using silk flowers or fake flowers from arts and crafts stores that can be just as interesting visually, if you live DIY. It’s a good compromise for saving on greenery too!

As far as decor, check craft stores - especially this weekend, they may have Black Friday sales (assuming you're in the US).

For flowers, use what's in season at the time of your wedding, also potted plants are less expensive (generally) than cut flowers.

You don't have to use florals for centerpieces, you can do feathers, books, board games, candles - whatever your imagination can come up with.

As far as rentals go, a smaller guest list means fewer rentals (generally).

    Seasonal flowers.

    Seasonal. Flowers.

Regardless of if you go with a store like Costco or your local grocery store or a florist, picking flower choices that are seasonal will save you so much money. What I mean by that is, don't go choosing sun flowers for a March wedding. They aren't typically grown during that time and to get them usually means importing them. Choosing flowers that are in season for your wedding date is a huge cost saver.

Also don't be afraid of using some silk flowers to fill in. We're using some silks, especially greens, to help build out the look of everything without blowing the budget.

Check out sites like Dollar Tree and Oriental Trading for bulk items. We got 96 candle holders for 96$ at dollar tree, and several dozen candles from Oriental Trading for like $30.

If you want things like twinkle lights etc - hit up craft stores the weeks right after Christmas and New Years. All that stuff is majorly on sale. As your wedding is in February, if you want any sort of Valentine's theme, check the stores for all the decor this coming year when they go on sale (signs etc from say Michael's or Joann's go majorly on sale right before and right after the holiday and there's always coupons for those places!).

But also Seasonal Flowers (my mom is a florist and has drilled this into my head for literal decades. I am indeed, using seasonal flowers at my wedding).

Agree with this. They are very inexpensive compared to faux flowers that collect dust and last forever in a landfill. Also check the Black Friday deals on Amazon for LED candles. Dollar Tree for vases. Do not try to ship glass because the cost is exorbitant for being heavy and fragile.

Also, unpopular opinion but renting is nearly always more cost effective than buying. People see a low price for a purchased item but they ignore the fact that time and sanity both cost minimum wage per hour as well, so paying a rental company or a vendor to deliver an item is much more cost effective.

Orianna totally stole my suggestion LOLOL Because our beach wedding does not allow anything fake (flowers, confetti, etc) and I refused to spend $150 per table for floral centerpieces, I hit the jackpot at Dollar Tree and Amazon! And seriously, I doubt my table decor will be remembered by guests as they will have ocean views. Here is our centerpieces, roughly $18 per table.

I like the look of single stems in small bud vases grouped together on a circle table, or along the center of rectangular table. You can cut fresh flowers listed from a company, Costco, or at the local grocery store. I would also opt for a fresh bouquet or a non-floral option, and give faux flowers to any bridesmaids as these don't get used after the ceremony.

If you're interested in non-floral decor, I would instead opt for votive candles in dollar store holders, or faux votives in semi-opaque mercury glass holders (Amazon). Uplighting around the walls of the room will give you the most dramatic effect in the evening. I used diy uplighting at $25 per light.
