Help! My photographer is withholding my photos!

I hired a 3rd party vendor through weddingwire as a photographer. Long story short I was super dissatisfied with the photographer himself and went back to the owner of the company to explain my distress and let him know this photographer was, in my opinion, an amateur and missed many vital images I requested ahead of time. The owner has since blamed me for all the photographers screw ups. So I posted a review and he didnt like it. He told me to take it down and I said no. Now he is telling me I will NEVER SEE MY WEDDING PHOTOS. What do I do?

Maybe you can also reach out to the photographer himself. I know he did a bad job. But if he’s a decent person, he may agree to give you the photos when you explain the situation. He probably has a backup for the photos since he’s the one that’s took them

I agree with Sarah here. Unfortunately i think you will have to bite the bullet.. in no way are in the wrong for what is happening, just play his game and see if it helps. i mean you could still take actions on your end JUST IN CASE. because if he does destroy them it could be worse for him.

I'd play the game too. We had an issue with a painter who sucked, so we refused to pay the bill until things were fixed. Ultimately we decided that his people who never going to be skilled enough to fix anything and we just wanted them out of our home. He agreed to cut the bill in half, but we had to sign a waiver saying that we'd never post a negative review online.... This is the only person with the most decent pics of your wedding. So I think it's definitely worth it to delete the post for now to make sure you can get those photos in your possession.
