Help me choose a Bridal portrait

I used my trial run for hair and makeup to take my bridals. My photographer was late...again, so we didn't get started until 5 when we were supposed to start at 4. I used my trial run for hair and makeup to take my bridals. My photographer was late...again, so we didn't get started until 5 when we were supposed to start at 4. I felt a little rushed and my hair was really frustrating me. My veil has a lot of beadwork so it's really heavy so my hair didn't stay as full and pretty as when I left the salon. Lesson learned. It was super windy so my hair looked like a bird's nest towards the end of my shoot. I eventually took it down and combed it out. I'm starting to rethink the hair down angle. Anyway, I have already gotten the UNEDITED pics from my photographer and need help choosing which one/ones I want to have edited and use at the wedding. Pic 1 has been edited, the others have not. Thanks in advance!!!

How do you use these at the wedding? We don't do bridal portraits where I'm from.

I like the last two best because I can see your face and your eyes.

Most of these seem so far away. The one of your face turned slightly to the right (from my point of view) is a good portrait because it actually shows your face and you look beautiful. Some of the others are just so far away, or are of your back, that I wouldn't use them for a bridal portrait.

Also, you need to have a SERIOUS conversation with your photographer. This late behavior is unacceptable. What is their excuse?

These are beautiful!!!! I love every single one but I agree I like the ones where you are looking at the camera.

What exactly is a bridal portrait though and what is it used for? I am also unfamiliar with the concept of getting in your dress and taking portraits before the wedding day.....ive never heard of this. I've heard of rock the dress or trash the dress sessions after but never anything before.

@Kristin - it's primarily done in the south. The picture(s) are framed or on canvas and displayed at the wedding reception. It's also a great way to try out your wedding day look and make adjustments before your wedding day.

They're all beautiful! I love the one on the stairs, the one in the window, the 1st one, the one on the balcony looking to the side with bouquet ( facing the camera just looking slightly to side), and I like the one where you're holding your dress out like you're about to curtsy. Your hair was so pretty. I saw a good one of the back of it when you were looking in the mirror, just loved it! Beautiful pics!
