Help! i messed up the Rsvps

Illa, on February 18, 2020 at 9:19 AM Posted in Planning 0 10
I have already mailed our RSVP cards with the invitations. We did not realize until 2 days later that the address on the RSVP cards is incorrect. We checked and there is no such address on our street. What can we do to rectify this? I feel awful as it was my mistake. The bride is definitely unhappy with me. The Post Office cannot do anything because it is not a viable address that we put on stickers

Any chance you live in a small town with a super nice postmaster? Because my small town has delivered things with only my name and city, state and zip code. No address at all.

Could you possibly just mail out labels and say oops, smack this on your RSVP.

Yes, you can just get RSVP cards and resend. That seems like your best option. I understand the bride preferring to be left alone at this point. It's a stressful situation and I wouldn't take it personally. If you don't have a great relationship with the bride, could you talk to your son/daughter and tell them your idea? Then, let them give you the go ahead?

Could you just change to an online RSVP?

Thank you. Yes, I have spoken with my son. I am the financial backing for their wedding. I am paying for most of it. I just hate that my mistake has caused her to lash outward at me with such hatred. Smiley sad

She is considering it. Sigh. Some of the older folks do not use emails or social media, but can be called or sent another. I don't know what she will decide. She is still pretty angry at me.
