Help! How do you translate “padrino y madrina de boda”

This concept doesn't always translate into English. Whatever you do don't use "sponsor". People will take it the wrong way. If these are your fiance's Godparents, then that answers that. You might also refer to them as Guests of Honor. Best wishes!

My main padrinos are exactly like PP said "guests of honor" there is no translation from what I know.

The translation is "god mother and god father" i thought. I call my godparents Padrino and Madrina

We translated it to sponsors of the wedding or "wedding sponsors" honestly it's so cultural that there isn't a true parallel term in English

I also would not use the word 'sponsor'. There really is no translation. I would just put 'padrinos' honestly.

They are basically Godparents or sponsors like the people above commented. I would pick a couple you both admire & look up too! Someone you see often. Best wishes!

They are essentially the spanish version of godparents, I'm Costa Rican and Puerto Rican and that is how I refer to mine.

The problem is that in English 'sponsor' sounds as though they are paying for the wedding. And that may not be totally inaccurate either (I understand that they sometimes pay for certain items).

'Godparents' may work, if they have been around since you were christened/baptized.
