So my groom wants to do his bachelor party (out of state) two weeks before our wedding. It's still 10 months away but I'm nervous for last minute details that are left down to the wire. He first wanted the weekend before our wedding (which I had to shoot down immediately) but now we are discussing 2...

My now-husband and I had both of our bachelorette/bachelor parties (separately) on Thursday night before our Saturday afternoon wedding! We have friends that are from all over the country/international that couldn't afford to fly in twice, so we wanted to fit everything into one weekend. It worked out great! All of the girls spent Thursday night in an AirBNB for the party, then went to the hotel on Friday afternoon to check in and get ready for the rehearsal dinner.

If he can't recover in a week from it, he shouldn't party that hard.

Two weeks is fine and just because he’s having his bachelor party doesn’t mean he should disappear off the face of the earth. If you need to talk to him he should still respond.

Yeah two weeks before your date should be fine. My girls are planning my bachelorette for the weekend before the wedding and I didn't even think twice - I feel like anything other than the night before is safe.
