Help! Feeling self conscious in my dress

Nicolio, on March 12, 2016 at 5:32 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

So I had my second fitting today. I love my dress but I think I have put on some weight. I feel like my arm pit fat (for lack of a better word) got a lot bigger. I have a push up bra on but there is still alittle gap in the bust. Could that have something to do with it? Is there any good exercises or anything I can do so I can stop worrying about it? Sorry I realize I may sound crazy but it's getting down to the wire and I'm kinda freaking out. So much to remember, to do and worry about.

I've heard lifting weights (even little 3 pound weights) can help with "armpit fat" maybe try that. But I'm sure you look just fine and are overthinking it (:

This is what I'm talking about. I know it's not a big deal but I don't EVER wear dresses. So I'm not feeling 100% confident to begin with.

You can't "spot reduce" to lose weight in certain areas.

I'd talk to your tailor -- they're very skilled and can often come up with creative ideas to make the dress fit better to reduce or conceal something you're self-conscious about.

For example, perhaps instead of a push up bra you should have cups inserted in the dress to make it fit perfectly.

After seeing the picture (sorry it looks like we posted at the same time), my guess would be that you haven't gained fat there, but the dress is fitting too tight or awkwardly there and "pinching" you.

Are you wearing a bra under it, or is it built in with the dress? That little bit of under arm pudge is usually the result of a bra that isnt sized correctly, or put on wrong. Google the 'scoop and swoop' method for putting on your bra - it should make a big difference!

Just like sandpiper said it does look like it's pinching you or just maybe slightly tight in that spot I don't think it's you

Scoop and swoop. Love that. It's what I was thinking but didn't know there was a term for it! That's just more boob!

So. If it makes you feel better... I get that wearing a bra and tank top. It has less to do with body fat (I mean that's a thing too but....) and more to do with fit. Something is squeezing you in an unflattering way.

You should be able to have that adjusted so it's less of an issue. ... It's like 75% a fit thing. Don't despair! . It can be fixed!
