Help: Bolero, Gloves, Cuffs?...oh my!

Love that dress. Personally, I prefer the bolero (probably 3 best) but the gloves could work as well depending on 1) what your style is and 2) the style of wedding you're having. They definitely change the vibe a little.

I love the idea of a bolero with that dress. I'm personally not a fan of the gloves, but I say if you like them- go for it!

Jeanne - The wedding itself is going to be a little vintage (just touches), and it's at a historic venue. My personal style is an enigma to me: I tend to dress casually. But for the wedding I was planning on doing some lighter makeup with my hair down mostly straight with loose finger waves on the ends. If that helps!

If you decide to not cover them with fabric, I just found out about this amazing foundation called "Glamoflauge". Apparently it's really cheap from walmart, and it has the power to cover up any tattoo. I was planning on getting it to cover up my collarbone tattoo, but I've since decided to get laser removal (dumb decision at 17). Anyways, google it because it might be something worth looking into if you didn't want to buy something extra!

I would go with one of the boleros 2,3, or 4. I'm not in to gloves but 2 and 3 aren't that bad

I bought dermablend because I was gonna cover up my tattoos and it was terrible, I let it sit for an hour and never dried. Kat Von D cover up use to be really great but i think she changed the formula and I didn't think it worked as well as it use to.

Boleros #2 and #4 are beautiful, I love the sleeves!

Personally I don't like the gloves as much for a wedding, they feel a bit 80's Madonna to me. If you go for gloves regardless, then #2's lace is really pretty.

Long sleeves or gloves seem kind of out of place to me at a summer wedding. If you're just concerned about your tattoos, I'd try having them covered with makeup first.

I like the gloves #2 and 3. They have the similar lacy vintage feel as your dress has, to me. I wouldn't want to cover up too much in the summer. The material for the boleros doesn't breathe very well and often don't fit us broad shouldered gals so well.. Have you tried one on with your dress to see how it will look?

I will have to look into that Glamoflauge Camden! I am actually getting mine partially lasered this year to be redone. (long story). Tell me how it goes for you!

NenaBear - I haven't tried the it yet, so I will see how my broad shoulders fair ;-) if I did do a bolero I think I could manage the heat since only the ceremony is outside! But I figured that it probably wouldn't be ideal for summer :/

Camden - Me too. I was just looking up pictures yesterday of what the healing process looks like so that I wouldn't be surprised. I'm thinking I will make an appointment for early February: will have to find some courage before then!

Also, thank you ladies for your opinions! It sounds like the majority prefer the boleros.

The boleros are cute, but several look sheer - make sure your tats won't just show through the fabric anyways. Try taking photos of them on with a flash, too - it can sometimes cut right through thin fabric.

We did gloves, although not as a tattoo cover-up.
