At the top of the page, click planning tools and there's a preset budget that you and your fiance can work with. Decide what you're willing and able to spend and decide what is most important. Alot of stuff on the budget tool can be removed.

I suggest coming up with your total budget, looking at the preset budgets on sites like this, and adjusting it to what you and your partner think are most important. Then you have a starting point and can focus on those most important items, and fill in the rest later with what's remaining from your budget. Good luck!

As far as trying to get the most bang for your buck, I would suggest looking into weekday weddings if you’re up for that… Trust me it’s tens of thousands that you’ll be saving. Not only will you save this money on the venue itself, but all wedding vendors from photographers to DJs most also offer discounted rates on weekdays. That way you can have a glamorous wedding at a reputable venue and you don’t have to go broke or take out a loan. As long as you give people a heads up from my personal experience people usually don’t have a problem with weekday weddings.

Also, there are many things that you can DIY such as floral, and photography, there’s also other things that are non-essentials that you can skip as well like limousine service, and you could also do your own hair and make up if you’re good with it. But personally I feel like there are certain things that you just can’t DIY like the DJ (no I am not a DJ LOL my username is from the old TV show full House) and the food.

I literally started a budget and opened a wedding account .. we put money away every month plus I added my tax returns for 2 years into that account !! Budget your finances and put away what you can afford monthly

Coming up with a budget for you is not really possible but giving you money saving tips is! Borrow what you can from people so you won’t have to buy it yourself. Wait for after holiday sales for certain things. Cut down on guest list. Skip things like favors.
