My fiancé and I bought his ring early in the process. It was nice not to have another major expense looming as we got closer to the wedding date. I suggest starting now and buy things slowly. Invites one month. Ring one month. Etc, etc. We found it helped!

Nope -- watch retailers for sales. Also, you'll get a better deal at the likes of Blue Nile and James Allen than somewhere like Kay.

We got engaged in Nov 2021 by Jan 2022 we already had my fiancé's band. I agree with the above comment. Do a little every month. I am getting married in 11 days and it was so nice to not have to buy everything at one time. Congrats!!!

We got our wedding bands about two months before the wedding. They were just about the last things we purchased. Don't get them too far in advance as fingers can change size. When we started looking at engagement rings my finger was one size and when we ended up buying the ring my finger was about half a size small due to loosing weight.

I say start looking now, I looked super early for his ring. I got a couple since the men's band are so much more inexpensive than ours. So got a more formal one for the ceremony and special occasions and got him a second one for when he's working. In his spare time he does a lot of work with his hands so got him a more durable one so that it didn't scratch or get damaged. Get to looking with him now, plus it's fun to see the styles that the fellas like best. They get some fun crazy choices to choose from. Even saw a lord of the rings style. Have fun shopping.
